August 16, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Karam briefed Israelis on Aoun-Nasrallah meetings, says source

An anonymous Lebanese security source told Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anbaa in an interview published on Monday that retired Brigadier General Fayez Karam, a Free Patriotic Movement official who was arrested on suspicion of collaborating with Israel, was supplying Tel Aviv with information about meetings being held between FPM leader MP Michel Aoun and Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

Karam was arrested by security forces earlier this month. Some media reports said that Karam might have been collaborating with Israel for almost 30 years.

“Evidence proves that Karam had enhanced his calls with the Israelis [before he was arrested],” the source said, adding that pictures of Karam meeting with Israelis in an unnamed European country were revealed.
